为纪念海神妈祖诞辰1056周年，昨日（5月2日），中国国际海洋摄影协会福建分会一行34人，沿同三高速公路来到位于霞浦县沙江镇竹江村（岛），参加一年一度的（农历三月二十六）纪念海神妈祖诞辰的，霞浦县妈祖信仰独有的民间传统习俗；“阿婆走水”活动，

从沙江村到竹江村（岛）约有10分钟左右的水路，当我们到达竹江村（岛）时，已近是上午十点时分，上岸后发现，我们协会的其他会员有的已于前一天晚上到达了，在岛上，又陆陆续续中又发现了几批的会员，没想到这个活动竟吸引了中国国际海洋摄影协会福建分会这么多的会员前来参加。
It takes about 10 minutes by water from Shajiang Village to Zhujiang Village (Island). When we arrived at Zhujiang Village (Island), it was almost ten o'clock in the morning. After we got ashore, we found that some other members of our association had already been there the day before. Arrived in the evening. On the island, several batches of members were discovered one after another. I did not expect that this event attracted so many members from the Fujian Branch of the China International Ocean Photography Association.
在霞浦沿海的乡镇里，多信仰妈祖，所以每年必祀妈祖。在霞浦沙江镇竹江村（岛）“阿婆走水”活动已有数百年的历史，当地的渔民为了纪念海神妈祖诞辰，祈求渔业丰收，人畜平安，所举行的民俗活动，同时沙江也是摄影人向往的著名的S湾滩涂养殖基地最佳摄影处……
Many villages and towns along the coast of Xiapu believe in Mazu, so every year, Mazu must be worshipped. In Zhujiang Village (Island), Shajiang Town, Xiapu, the "Grandma Walks in the Water" event has a history of hundreds of years. The local fishermen held folklore activities to commemorate the birth of the sea god Mazu and pray for a good fishing harvest and safety of humans and animals. At the same time, the Shajiang River is also a yearning for photographers. The best photography location in the famous S Bay tidal flat breeding base...
祀妈祖活动中，渔民们扶妈祖神像正襟危坐于轿上，选数十名精壮的青年在潮水刚涨时抬到海水中，一边吆喝一边迅跑，称之为“阿婆走水”。
During the activity of worshipping Mazu, the fishermen helped the statue of Mazu sit on the sedan chair, and selected dozens of strong young men to lift it into the sea when the tide was just rising, shouting and running fast, calling it "grandma walking in the water."
今年的 “阿婆走水” 吸引了来自省内外几百名的摄影人，和数千的乡民游人前往参加……
